There has been a revolution brewing since the month of January this year, when at the Consumer Electronics (CES 2011), the event was flooded with nearly an uncontrolled torrent of tablet devices, a trend that was brought on by the world's foremost technology firm, Apple Inc., in the form of Apple iPad. The event showcased some of the most astounding tablets that have now been launched, such as the likes of Motorola Xoom, Notion Ink Adams Tablet, the four new tablets from Asus and many others. However, now it seems that all their efforts were in vain, as Apple Inc. shook the entire tech world with the introduction to its eagerly awaited Apple iPad 2, a tablet that, will do exactly what its predecessor did, capture the majority of the market share and give its competitors a run for their money. The all new phenomenal (understatement, of course!) Apple iPad 2 has been designed to become the sleekest tablet in the market and this awesome device is about 33% slimmer than the popular iPhone 4G and about 15% lighter than the older iPad. For the Apple iPad 2, Apple Inc. especially innovated the extremely powerful Apple A5 dual core processor, that has made the iPad 2 blazing fast machine that is incredibly easier to work with. Apple took the Live press event to break the good news that, the iPad 2 will be available in both Black and White colors from the very beginning. The battery life of the new iPad 2 though has been kept the same as the original iPad and that's quite alright, as there weren't any qualms about the battery life of the iPad. The iPad 2 features a 9.7-inch LCD screen with a 1024-by-768-pixel resolution at 132 pixels per inch, like the original iPad.
Apple iPad 2 with a new design and a new CPU, has also been given a new operating system in the form of Apple iOS 4.3 and Apple has announced presence of FaceTime and Photo Booth features for the iPad 2. Also, the Cupertino based tech giant has announced the launch of two new sizzling apps for the new iPad, iMovie and GarageBand, that will provide the users with movie and music editing capabilities, while both will come with a price tag of $4.99 and will be available at the Apple Apps Store. Apple after taking a lot of feedback from the consumers and understanding the needs of the users, has finally introduced the much needed front and rear camera for the device, where in iPad 2 comes with a 5MP rear camera with digital zoom for HD recording and a front mounted subtle secondary camera for video calls and Facetime function. Furthermore, Apple will now provide the user to take advantage of the slide switch to use as either a mute button or to lock the screen rotation. The all new Apple iPad 2 will be made available exclusively via AT&T and surprisingly enough, Verizon Wireless as well. The all new device which is leaps ahead of the original iPad will be available in two configurations Wifi as well as Wifi+3G. | StatCounter: Microsoft Bing Outperforms Yahoo! For The First Time Since Launch Posted: 02 Mar 2011 06:22 PM PST
One of the foremost and widely used search engines on the Internet, Yahoo!, has finally been beaten by its arch rival, Microsoft Bing as per the latest search statistics compiled by the web analytic firm, StatCounter, according to whom Bing is now the second most popular search engine after the search behemoth Google. Though knocking off Yahoo! from the second place and taking the rank for itself might be considered a success for Bing, yet Microsoft has little to celebrate as the company will now be regretting its decision of entering into a search deal with Yahoo in the year 2009, thereby ensuring that Yahoo's poor performance reflects upon Microsoft as well. One the other hand, Google Inc, that still retains the top position among search engines also came down to 89.94% of the market share it currently reigns upon and this is the first time in two years in a row that Google's market share has fallen below the 90% threshold. However, this minor loss shouldn't affect Google that much, as its main competitors Bing and Yahoo are way far behind the search King, with Yahoo only managing to hold on to 3.93%. of the market share, while Bing inched closer a bit with 4.37%. The entire evaluation process from StatCounter is based upon over 15 billion page views per month from 3 million web sites that are monitored by this web analytics company. According to Aodhan Cullen, (CEO, StatCounter),
